Amanda deLathouder
I grew up with Missy, Joe, and Justin. Missy babysat me and my two younger sisters for years. I began taking my two children, Abbi and Jacob to her about a year ago. Missy and her family was one of the best things that could have ever happend to my kids. Abbi adored Stevie and Maddison. I was just in there home last Tuesday picking up Abbi and Jake. Stevie went in to Stevens living room with me, climbed up on the couch and ran her fingers through Abbis hair while i tried to wake her up. Two of the most happy children you could have ever met. Steven loved his children more than anything. Missy and Steven were wonderful to my kids. They treated them as if they were their own. If I needed anything, they were always there for us. I miss you girls. Missy my heart goes out to you, your the strongest woman I have ever known. I've never looked up to anyone, the way I look up to you. God Bless You Guys, My thoughts and prayers are with you....

I am the sister in-law of Missy's father Andy. I watched Missy grow up from a little girl, to a teenager and to the woman she has become. Missy loved her family with all her heart and she was so proud of all of them. I remember that the doctors said Madison was going to be a boy. All the baby shower gifts were blue. What a wonderful gift we got from God when she and Steven got their daughter. When Stevie was born I had move away from Front Royal, but I got to see her at the family reunions. Stevie too was a beautiful smart girl. Missy, Joe, Justin and Mr. and Mrs Cook my heart goes out to all of you. My God keep you in His loving arms.

Missy came as a God-send to us in 2000, when  we  needed a babysitter for Lauryn.  It was the perfect situation.  Lauryn and Madison were one month apart in age, and were able to attend their first preschool together. We will always remember Madisons outgoing personality, her love for others, and her beautiful smile!  Our family will always cherish the the love and affection that was shown to our kids by Missy and her family.  You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Missy and I became friends in '98 when I moved next to her on 19th street.  At that time I didn't need a sitter but shortly after I did when Missy and Steven moved to Linden Street...I followed because finding a good babysitter was hard enough....plus...finding one in the early morning hours was even harder.  Two major blessings in my life that Missy gave me...along with her friendship and love of all children.  Now we are all here to help Missy, Justin and Joe.  Help them cope....help them deal...make the pain go away.  Pray for them and cry with them.  My Daughters reminded me of a time when they taught Madison this saying.  Madison must have been 3 or 4...she would run out to my car and say..."miss Jill is so sexy":)  We would take her to the park with us and out to McDonalds.  Madison had a smile that would light up the room...something that I will NEVER forget.   In our hearts and prayers !! We love you all !!
